Over the past few months, we have been contacted by several departments regarding layoffs of AFSCME and other employees - most notably within University Athletics. Though President Gabel has repeatedly voiced her commitment to not address budget shortfalls through layoffs and as a union we are committed to fight to preserve our jobs, there may be instances where a layoff takes place and it's important that members understand our rights if a layoff does take place. Join us at Thursday's informational meeting to find out your rights and options.
