
Treasurer (MSU)

I first joined the union with Dining Services in 2004, and became more active when I joined our second contract negotiations in 2007. Since then, I realized more and more how good it felt to help my fellow union workers, and became first a steward, and eventually Treasurer in 2016. My chief job as treasurer is making sure the local's money is being spent as the local has authorized, by the standards put forward by AFSCME.
As Dining Services chief steward, my favorite tasks are helping protect my fellow employees assuring our contact is being followed, and informing members of their rights by the contract and laws.
