Update! Service Center Wage Increase

After meeting with the employer on January 22, 2020, we now have an MOU for members to vote on. Our team made our proposal for wage increases of 10% to all incumbents of the job classes of Service Center Representative and Service Center Representative Senior, with additional adjustments to the ranges for those job classes to bring them to market value. Our proposal included retroactive pay.

In today’s meeting we were able to gain more information about the County’s market study and their methodology. We will utilize this information as we continue to push forward for better wages. We did receive a last, best and final offer from the County, and that is what our membership must vote on. The offer is as follows:

  • Service Center Representative: Change the range to $17.09 - $25.60
  • Service Center Representative Senior: Change the range to $18.84 - $28.26

This MOU would take effect on for the pay period following the vote. Any current employees below the new minimums will be moved to meet the new minimums.

The voting sites and times are as follows:

  • Feb. 5: Minneapolis Central Library in the Doty Board Room, 6:30-8:30PM (during membership meeting)
  • Feb. 6: Maple Grove Service Center, 10:30AM-2:30 PM
  • Feb 7: Hennepin County Government Center, 10:30AM-2:30PM
  • Feb. 10: Ridgedale Service Center, 10:30AM- 2:30PM
  • Feb. 12: Midtown Service Center, 10:30AM- 2:30PM
  • Feb. 13: Brookdale Service Center, 10:30AM-2:30PM
  • Feb. 14: Southdale Service Center, 10:30AM-2:30PM

We want to thank our team and all of the Service Center workers for showing the importance of continuing to talk with each other and push the County for better wages in the service centers. We also want to thank everyone who signed our petition and wore their union shirts in support of our efforts.

Keep an eye out for further communication from us as we get closer to the dates of the vote.
